2d adaptive clearing

Hi,  I am sure this is a newbie error, but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would very much appreciate the help.

I'm just starting out with a home built CNC machine, and I'm trying to mill a wooden card case.  It's basically a little box.  I'm using 2d adaptive clearing to mill out the hole in the middle where the cards will lie.  However, the 2d adaptive clearing operation that I am using seems to mill the same space twice!  It will mill out the whole pocket, then it returns to the home position and repeats the whole operation, obviously with no effect at all, as it's been there before.

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Can you please share the file here so we have an idea of what's going on?
File > Export > save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

That's because you have two chains selected:

De-select the bottom one and it runs as expected.
