Wrap Toolpath Error

Hi all.

When I try to use a 2D Toolpath with Wrap Geometry I get a "cannot unwrap cyclic geometry" message. Not sure how to solve this. Can anyone help me out?

There are no tool paths in your model so I don't know what's wrong with your end.

If it is the center cone shape that will not work wrap needs round shapes and you don't have tool orientation with the wrap tool paths.

There were a couple issues I believe.

1. The geometry for the z axis in the setup was missing (try to edit the setup and it gives you a heads up), I chose a new one. There was no x selection either so I chose one.

2. I don't believe you can wrap 360 degrees in Fusion, it has to be less. So I copied your model, put a point in the center , created a 3 point plane using that point and 2 points from one of your v cuts, than split the copy body to break up the geometry into two 180 degree sections.

Hope this helps, Fusion file with above changes should be attached.

Hi @daniel_lyall

I wanted to engrave the grooves that go around the outside of the part, sorry for not being clear on my intentions.

@tesset79 Did a good job of pointing me in the right direction. I wasn't sure that I can't wrap in 360 degree, I split the body and that seems to work well.

Thanks!
