Will Fusion extrude JUST fully constrained, enclosed sketch geometry?

I'm sure the "hey, Solidworks user here!" gets thrown around quite a bit in these forums; but—yes— I am from the world of Solidworks where fully constrained, enclosed sketch geometry is easily and automatically extruded to the desired solid without fumbling through selecting all of the potential intersecting faces I don't want to include. In short, I just want to make an enclosed sketch, click extrude, specify the end condition, and be done with it. Am I not fully understanding the Fusion sketch environment, or do I need to approach sketch geometry differently?

You can only extrude fully enclosed sketch, not related to constraints.

A question without any context leads to somewhat generic answers. Can you provide any images or concept of what you are trying to do?

Use the Camera button above the text box where you type your reply 🙂

@Anonymous not quite, you can extrude open sketches (single lines even) to make a surface patch:

Looking at title and body of the original post, I was convinced that sketch is primary subject in question and since my primary use of Fusion is in manufacturing, machining in particular, I made a point of not being able to extrude sketch unless it is fully closed.

As far as I am concern, everything else can be filed under ....  "Am I missing something?" classic,  I realize that doesn't cover all possibilities but I thought lock of response to the post would at least address one topic I am familiar with.
