Which line of gcode

In the machine simulator is there an option to show what line of code is currently being executed?

I know I can step through the code with Go to next point but I want to know what line of code that is.

If not, can we add this to the feature request list?

thanks

I don't think that is possible as the G code is generated after you post it. You can use a post editor like Cimco or NC Plot for a couple of examples, those generate simulations based on the actual G code that is generated from your post processor.

The closest that you will get is by using the info tab when simulating, but be cautious, as this is not the same as generated G code.

Hi

You can view the G code in machine simulation as it uses the post processor to generate the moves for the Simulation

I guess I stand corrected. I see that you are using Machine simulation, which I do not use.

Humm, I don't have that option. But it also tells me that the post process is not compatible with machine simulation, so I'll have to figure that out first I think.

Hi

Yes you will need a machine simulation compatible post.

Most of the latest Library posts in Fusion are compatible now so If you are using an older version it will be worth upgrading

I'm using the MASSO controller. Fusion has a Post for it but it's not machine simulation compatible, So my next stop is MASSO and ask them if they can update the post. I tried editing it as per Fusions instructions, but it didn't seem to work.
