When Rest Machining is enabled no tool path is generated.

In the 4th operation a 3d pocket operation, I am getting no tool path if I enable rest machining, if I don't have it enabled, then I get additional a path for the internal holes that were already bored in the previous operation.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim

Would you be able to share your Fusion file here?

Sorry thought I attached it, but seems I just attached the pic instead.    Here it is.

Hi

You have your finished model selected as the stock solid, therefore rest machining sees that there is no material left to remove and does nothing.

If you instead set your stock to relative size box

it will generate a toolpath as expected

I also separated out your first Bore toolpath into two separate ops as the tool was crashing into the center stock on the lower hole as it wasn't machined away yet.

see attached

I was able to get around it by selecting the face that I wanted, but I would have still expected the rest machining from previous operations to have worked equally with the bounding box.

As I explained, you had your FINISHED model selected as STOCK, If STOCK=MODEL then there is no rest machining to be done.

It cant do rest machining from imaginary stock that isn't there, if you define your stock correctly then there is no problems.
