When are Flex Tokens spent?

I'm trying to understand when flex tokens are used when using the Manufacturing extension. I understand it is for each day of "usage", but what counts as usage?

IE, once I use a Manufacturing extension feature in a file, does opening that file automatically count as usage? Does post processing count as usage? Re-generating the toolpath for a Manufacturing Extension feature? Is it only when I click one of the buttons with a plug icon?

My usage is going to be the definition of occasional use, I'm thinking about learning 4-axis and making some Christmas gifts.

As per the documentation, its per 24 hours. You'd program your parts and Protect the paths all within a "day". You should be able to post them out again at any time. 


How complicated is your part? I could also do it for you and send you the finished project.
