Weird 3D Toolpath (Parallel)

So toolpaths have been a bit of a weakness of mine. It seems that I can never get them right and when I do, they operate in very strange ways.

For this model, I am following a YouTube tutorial just for some extra practice, and when I add the Parallel milling operation to my piece, it starts a normal parallel/back and forth operation, but then it starts to jump around. It stops its consistent path and jumps to a random part in the piece a few times, and then returns to it's previous path. The path eventually meets up with the place it jumped to, so I don't see why it would want to make that jump, considering it's a parallel operation.

If anyone has any ideas on where I am messing up I would be super grateful!

Thank you,

Mike

There is an option for simple ordering but note the machining time is longer.

For something organic like this you may want to look at [Morphed Spiral] as well.

Hmm I will have to check it out and see how that works. Thanks for the reply! I am still fairly new to all of this so every little bit helps!
