Waterjet Tool "Missing Required Data"

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

When I either create or use the default waterjet cutting tool, the tool works and generates a path fine, no problems.  When I try to re-select the same tool for the same or a different operation, I run into an error saying that the "Tool is missing required data," as shown in the picture it appears to have forgotten the cutting data.  I open the tool to edit it, change nothing, click accept, and suddenly Fusion thinks the tool is okay to use again.  Not sure how to fix this problem.  Attached is also a tool I created, but it also happens when I use the pre-created Fusion waterjet tool.

Also tried solutions found in this forum, but they did not work: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-manufacture/new-tool-library-quot-tools-missing-required-d...

Let me know if anyone has ideas on how to fix this,

-Erika

Hi @Anonymous ,

This behaviour is due to a bug related to cutting tool data. The development team have completed work on a fix, which will be made available in a future release of Fusion.

As you've seen, the workaround for the moment is to edit the tool if it's invalid and you need to use it. The tool will be marked invalid again when you re-open the tool library however, which of course isn't ideal.
