Warning: One or more pockets were not machined because they are too small to be reached with given ramping constraints!

Could some kind person tell me what this message means please.

I am trying to CAM a very simple part withe 2 holes in it. The first one, which is nearest the initial entry point, is OK withe a helix pocket, but the second one which is further away and withe the same settings fails with the above messsage no matter what I try.

As you can tell I'm a Fusion 360 beginner.

f3d fle attached.

Thanks

The problem is the minimum helical ramp diameter on the linking tab is too big, try reducing to 1.5mm. A better strategy for milling this would be Bore by the way.

Thanks. That works, but I have no idea idea why. The setting for the other is 1.7mm and that works OK.

Anyway, thanks again.

I hadn't noticed the other op worked but looking closer you had a pre drill point selected in the one that worked. Not sure why that would make a difference in this case though.

I'm having this issue too, only on mine it is a bunch of same size dog holes in one operation. It will do some holes in the operation, but others give the warning and just doesn't do them. The ones it won't do - it will do if not selected with other holes.

@DLP_Graphics Would you be able to share your Fusion file here?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d/.f3z file in your reply.
