One thing we do want to be clear about: this is not a beta program. This is early access to the next production update release by installing and running a pre-production build.

Important: what you should know before you apply:
- You (as a Fusion 360 Insider) are under NDA and Content Embargo
Pre-prod build gives you early access to Fusion 360's next product update, 2 weeks before we release it to the general public. Since this is pre-released software, you are legally under NDA and all new features and functionality are under embargo until the product update goes live to the general public. If you are making content based on new pre-prod functionality, do not share externally until we deploy the product update to the general public.
- Installing & Uninstalling
Pre-prod build can be installed along side your existing production version of Fusion 360, but we recommend that you replace the production version with pre-prod. We recommend that you uninstall the production build and install the pre-prod to avoid confusion. If you un-installed Pre-prod and wish to re-install pre-prod, you must use the installer links found in the Installer page under Resources.
- Impact to Collaboration / data backwards compatibility with production build
When you work in pre-prod, you are working with your existing Production data. If you are collaborating with people with production builds, they will not be able to access your pre-prod designs. This is because designs saved on pre-prod are not backwards compatible with production versions. (This will only happen for 2 weeks since the general public will catch up to pre-prod by then).
- You need to be actively using the pre-prod build to remain as a Fusion 360 Insider
