Using pre-programmed tool paths in new files for nesting

Hello everyone,

I am trying to setup a new work flow for manufacturing composite panels which need to be v-grooved, drilled and profiled which is a few steps to program for each panel and having to pick all the individual profiles for each operation. I can create panel files with the tool paths already programed and by copying the file for different panel sizes I can create a bunch of files, each with there own updated programing. My question is, does anyone know how the tool path data could be loaded into a new file where the panels could be nested but using the tool paths that already exist in the individual files?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

This is not currently possible, unfortunately (although it's something we are seriously focused on solving)

Thank you for the quick response Seth,

If it is not possible in Fusion is it possible to access the tool paths from either the Fusion API or the Forge API? I saw some where that it is possible to import an Inventor file with its CNC tool paths which would be a very similar functionality to what I want to do.

I have programmers at my disposal and a client who could use the functionality.

If you could let me know if there is anyone at Autodesk that could help in anyway, I would much appreciate the help.

Kind regards,

David

Leveraging the API to bring in toolpaths is also not supported, sad to say 😞
