Is it standard practice to use a fully-threaded screw in a partially-threaded hole, like this?
+
I have a really long screw hole, but the threads are really only needed on the bottom side. If the hole is fully threaded, it's going to take a long time to screw it all in, especially since there are multiple such holes.
Online, I could only find examples of using partially-threaded screws for partially-threaded holes, but I was wondering if I could use fully-threaded screws in partially-threaded holes.
