That's interesting, I don't see that even after updating(Edit: I see its only activated with a machine and appropriate postprocessor selected in the setup)

That will be very useful for G-Code machines indeed

For Heidenhain (which I use) the old method actually was fine as it uses numbered offsets, not G54 etc
