Undercut picatinny mount

I have a picatinny mount and I'm trying to undercut it with a .500" 45* dovetail cutter.

I can get a toolpath on the top 45* to work.

I'm approaching it with 3d contour and was hoping it would work like ballnosing a filet but get an error in toolpath generation saying "discarded unreachable passes".

What about a combo tool from Helical tool?
