Trying to create 7mm trapezoidal turning tool with no success

I'm trying to make an inside threading bar with a 7.0mm pitch, 30° trapezoidal thread form insert. It seems like there is a bug in the insert setup that completely negates any possibility of creating a realistically sized insert for larger trapezoidal threads.

I'm trying to recreate a Sandvik 266RL-22TR01F700E 1020 insert, datasheet here:

https://www.sandvik.coromant.com/en-gb/product-details?c=266RL-22TR01F700E%20%20%201020

My problem is the "Overall length" setting seems to need an absurdly large size to accommodate errors in the modeling of trapezoidal threading inserts. For a 7mm pitch, the smallest size I can input is a 50,5mm wide insert, whereas the real insert is about 18mm

For a 6mm pitch, the minimum width goes down to about 43,3mm. Again, it should be roughly 18mm

This of course completely ruins any simulations and collision modeling.

This can't be correct, can it? Anyone have an idea what is going wrong here?

A similar thread was started yesterday. It appears we may have an issue defining such a profile correctly...

I've opened up CAM-59012 to investigate this
