Whenever I do a simulation it's always a struggle to see what's going on.
Initially thought it was the software, but it's been like this for so long now am inclined to think I just don't know what the hell I'm doing.
In the below image have just "run" an adaptive clear (the holes) and a slot (it's 1mm deep and you can't see it at all, just the toolpath) in the underside of a 13mm sheet of whatever. If simulations are supposed to help with error checking etc then this one is definitely a fail because have to imagine what is going on! Undoubtedly this is at least in part due to the fact that we are "underneath" and the sun is on the other side. But really?!!! How does one make useable simulations?
