Trace toolpath creates small segments

Hello,

I have a proble with Trace toolpath, when it works on a radius it creates small segments in G1 instead of create a radius in G2 or G3.

I have verify the geometry using the contour toolpath and it works in G3 on the radius.

So there is a way to change the setting of trace toolpath and use G2 or G3 in the radius instead of small segments in G1?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried turning on Smoothing?

What machine, control and post processor are you using?

Could you share the file here?

File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

I using a Fanuc control with standard Fanuc post. But I don't think that is a post process problem, because the contour work perfectly
Is not necessary post the file you can prove it in every circular path

Is the geometry derived from a spline or is it a true arc?

Trace is also not good at smoothing arcs on the G17 plane, as it's really more of a '3D-2D Contour' toolpath and does much better in G18/19 planes. Are you tracing in 3-axis movements or just 2-axis?

I have the same problem in both case, also in a very simple case like the photo attached. Yuo can see the small segments on circular path
