Tormach Pathpilot Flood & Mist Coolant not posting either with smartcool

Hi, My shop has a Tormach PCNC 1100 Series 3 with a smart cool equipped and we are getting some issues posting when having flood and mist coolant selected for a tool. We run both as we get the flood coolant and better chip evac instead of pooling and chip clog.

If I post with flood and mist selected with smart cool- off & multi coolant-off I get a m8 posted

S5100 M3 M8

If I post with flood and mist selected with smart cool-off & multi coolant-on I get a m8 posted

S5100 M3 M8

If I post with flood and mist selected with smart cool-on & multi coolant-off I get no coolant posting

S5100 M3 P0 R0.4

if I post with floor and mist selected with smart cool-on & multi coolant-on I get no coolant posting

S5100 M3 P0 R0.4 Q4

(I also have no idea what a Q4 posting is)

thoughts?

Hello,

Thanks for posting. Please could you test the attached post processor to see if it gives the correct results? The Q value enables the pulsing of the M7/M8 solenoid, the amount of seconds is specified in the 'multiCoolAirBlastSeconds' post property. You can see the Q value description on Page 13 of the manual >>HERE<<

Hi George,

using that post with smartcool - on & multi coolant - on I get

S5140 M3 M8 P0 R0.75 Q4

with smartcool - on & multicoolant - off

S5140 M3 M8 P0 R0.75

Will test it in a few and see how it works.

Does that mean that the air does not run continuous but bursts every 4 seconds or 4 times a second?

Also will this patch or adjustment or what ever be posted to the public? My facility has a ton of users and it would be a pain for all of them to readjust to a custom post processor.

Thanks for the help!
