Toolpathing Glitch

I have set up a scallop toolpath for this bowl and found it to be very jerky when cutting

When I go back into edit the toolpath and play with tolerances it dies on me as illustrated.

Any ideas?

There is a current issue where the Setup dropping the bodies for some unexplained reason.

Clisk on the "X" next to the "9 Missing" and reselect your bodies.

For the jerkiness, you might want to try turning on "Smoothing", found on the Passes tab. That will do a decent job of reducing your file size and fitting arcs where possible.

@jeff.pek, here's another example for your team to look at 😉

Thanks Seth,

Tried the smoothing 0.1 and 0.2mm

Both had a glitch in the tool path, where the tool seemed to back into the part with a leadin.

In other words it left a gouge in the part, but not on every pass.

So I had to leave it without the smoothing, which left a less that desirable finish.

 Regards,

Tony
