Is there a good way say for op 2 i'd like to have a toolpath that starts from the outside of the stock and go around it instead of starting inside and helixing in to full depth and doing a stepover amount. Cant seem to find a good way to do this. Even 2d contour wants to start inside the part instead of outside and go around the stock to clean it up for a face type path.

This is usually from using too many boundaries and stock selections. Try with none selected at first.

Try making your bottom height -.001 from your model top.
