Toollibrary gone after update

Hi

Since the latest updates I have some problems with my tool library.

When I click tool library everything is greyed out. I can't select tools and edit/create/delete.

Found a post from someone with the same problem and he was missing the libraries.json file located in:

C:\Users\*myname*\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\CAM360\configuration

But my libraries.json is present

I'm running on Windows 10

Hi @JJackrabbit,

Based on your picture you attached, it looks like you need to select a library or a library location in order to be able to create/import/modify. The sample tools can't be modified directly, which is the tool you have selected in the image.

You should be able to navigate to a document or local library in the library tree on the left, and from there add/edit/delete/modify tools. Or if you are trying to create a new library, try clicking on "Local" in the library tree on the left and then the "Add Library" button should be enabled.

Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't solve the problem.

The default tool libraries are all checked (the default ones like Maritool, Tormach)

And I can't add a new one

Hi @JJackrabbit,

It sounds like you are trying to modify the Samples and/or Vendor Libraries/Tools. These libraries and tools are all provided by Autodesk and Tool Vendors and this data is "read-only" and can't be modified. If you want to use/modify these tools in your projects, what you can do is right click on any of the samples or vendor tools and click Copy Tool (or use Ctrl+C). Then you can right click and click Paste Tool in one of your document or local libraries.

See this screencast that shows some (but not all) of the possible things you can do from your current state (the picture you showed).

We encourage all users to define their own sets of tools and tool libraries for use on their projects either in a Local or Cloud Tool Library.
