Why does my toolpath always go to the bottom of the part and work its way out.  For example, drill goes to the bottom of the part

and then steps its way back to the top.  Same thing with a circular hole.  The end mill goes to the bottom of the part in the simulation

and spirals back to the top.  I tried to orient the part differently, and hours of other things with no success.  Help.

Hi bm4foam,

Could you export your part as a .f3d file and attach it to this thread or send me an email at noah.balsmeyer@autodesk.com if you want to keep it private.

Just need to be able to see more of what is happening to get a good idea on how to fix it.

Thanks,

Noah

Noah,

I just figured it out.  If you slow the speed down past the dot in the line, it goes backwards.  I not seen this in all the videos

i have watched.  Didnt know it would do that.  I was using SprutCam for cam and It will not do that.  Thanks for responding

back to my post.
