Too many decimal places obstruct reading a number in Manufacture workspace

This is insane! I want to know what my SFM numbers are, but instead of giving me a whole number, fusion defaults to showing me 1 digit to the left of the decimal, and 3 digits past the decimal! Useless!

A similar thing happens with Feed per tooth, Ramp feedrate and Feed per revolution.   There is a work around, I can click in the field and arrow over to the left, but I shouldn't have to take this extra step.

I looked in the preferences and found nothing. I didn't find anything by searching online either. Surly others have this problem as well!?

If you set them correctly to what you want for the tool (In your image it is a "Custom" tool) then your settings under the "Cutting Data" for your tool should show for the tool/operation/material that you set, do they not transfer through for you ??

The thing is it didn't used to do this, and after an update maybe a year or 6 months ago it started, still don't know why it isn't fixed, seems like an easy and obvious thing to sort out.

I also find it VERY annoying but hadn't gotten around to complaining about it haha.

Another way to work around is to drag the toolpath window slightly wider using the top left of the window, but you need to do this every time you restart fusion.

So are you saying that your Tool Libraries are being overwritten during Fusion Updates and reverting to the original default settings in the Cutting Data tab ??

It isn`t doing that here, I have tools from a couple of years ago that I have set "Presets" set for and they are all still as I set them way back 🙂 🙂

Image below of one of my Tool Libraries, these were done months/years ago, note, it is a "Local" library so appears to never get altered by Fusion Updates 🙂

Hope this helps 🙂

I'm confused, this has nothing to do with the Tool Library, and all about how numbers are displayed in fields of the toolpath windows. I'm talking about modifying values in the toolpath, I use my presets a lot but sometimes I need to tweak my feeds and speeds to suit a particular setup or cutting conditions.

here's a screencast showing what I'm taking about.

I do see what you are saying, however it never causes me an issue as I never nor would I ever consider making those sort of changes "on the fly" at the Operation, if I want to make a change to Spindle speed/feed etc for a specific job then I just create a Preset for that specific job and name it as such so I can easily identify it later.

I have used other Cad-CAM softwares that allow the same thing and it is IMHO just poor operating practice, I reckon those windows in the Operating Edit mode should be "greyed out" and only be there for reference/information and if changes need to be made then go to the "Edit Tool" option at the Operation in the Browser and either add a new "Preset" or modify an existing one 🙂

It`s an age thing, I just like to have everything set in a Logical Sequence so I am not as likely to make expensive errors down the line due to age related memory fade 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hey, each to their own as the saying goes 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hi @a.laasW8M6T & @PhilCNC2 ,

Just to let you know, the development team is aware of this issue with the text alignment in fields on the Operation dialogue (internal ID CAM-34420). We'll look into it as soon as we can.

This should be fixed, because it is outright dangerous. No matter if some people do not use it or not.

If the Pop Up window is draged smaller or the number changes via the "preset" drag and drop option.

The leading digits disappear. At times that leads to the situation that the system displays e.g. 60.452 mm/min, but actually the speed will be 460.452 mm/min.

If this is overlooked it can become very expensive and dangerous, especially if the tool libraries seem to change a high carbon steel feed to Aluminum just by clicking through a tab (btw was that bug fixed? I am not able to reproduce it anymore).
