The new FLAT toolpath is not avoiding selected touch surfaces

Hi everyone,

I have just seen the promo for the new FLAT toolpath in fusion 360. It is the perfect toolpath for a part I'm about machine that's if i can get it to work.

Basically the surfaces I've selected to avoid are actually capheads so they need to be avoided when machining. I have proven this works when using the horizontal toolpath but the problem is this makes the tool plunge in to the material when it jumps to its next position - which is why i would to get the FLAT toolpath to work.

Can someone take a look and explain what I've done wrong... I've attached the file. Please reference the Horizontal toolpath in setup 1 that does avoid the surfaces and the FLAT toolpath in setup 2 has the same surfaces selected but does not avoid the area

I extruded those patches into Bodies and then included it in the toolpath:

I'm struggling to replicate that..  I've made the surfaces to bodies and turned machining boundary to none as you have it and now i have a toolpath just machining the 5 bodies

I should add, that what I(we) did for a solution is really just a workaround. We'll get this logged and worked on in due order

I also saw the YouTube video about the flat machining strategy.  I don't have that option under my 3d tool path selection tab.  What do I need to do so i do have access to this?

If you have updated to the latest version which should happen automatically then you shouldn't have to do anything else. On mine it is the fourth option down...
