Is there already a way to do this.. Make your contour selections and entry positions with the same click.

if not, can someone direct me to the feature request department? 😉

Hi @jeffhammond

Don't think that is possible.  You would need to request it.  I wouldn't think this is a high priority to implement, but it's worth a shot.

Depending on your level of support with Autodesk, you can go to your Autodesk account, then:

  1. Click on the Help icon in the top right corner
  2. Contact support
  3. Post-purchase support
  4. Help using my software
  5. Fill in the relevant fields with your information

You may also be able to post this into the Feedback hub, which is a branch of the Fusion 360 forum.  Not quite sure if it is still active though.

No, this is not possible. I can mention this to the devs and see if this has any support for implementation.

Yes, the Feedback hub is still active, but it's mainly geared to Autodesk devs and product managers seeking feedback from the community.

-EDIT-
@jeffhammond how would you enivision this working? What sort of clicks or selections would have to occur to select the contour and define the start point? Drag the arrow around to where you want?

hey @seth.madore

the reason I asked was because I'll often have a sheet of parts which need to be released from the sheet in a certain order with the entry point in certain places in order for the vacuum (flow through) to be most effective (and avoid tabbing)

to do this, I have to go through all the parts selecting them in the order I want them cut then go back and select all the entry points (which don't have to be super precise in my case.. usually just along a flat on the desired side)..

for me at least, it would be nice if when making the selection, the entry point was also being determined upon clicking.. in the attached example, it saves 50 or so clicks.
