Swarf operation error: operation not compatible with current setup

hi

i have a 5-axis machine, and last week i did a project using the swarf operation. today when i try to edit this operation or create a new on, i get an error dialog box:

"The chosen operation is not compatible with the current setup"  [OK]

i double checked my configs, no changes, not sure where to get more information to troubleshoot this issue.

regards

eric

Hi @epm

Is it possible for you to share the project or an example project to help understand your issue?

hi @epm

Have you selected the right machine in the setup?

I tried it with a genric 5 axis machine and there doesn't seem to be any issues

hi

i think i figured it out,  when i created my machine i did not load a template and just the default which seems to be for a 3-axis machine ... i "loaded" the generic template and now i get the other 2-axis configurations

it was the fact it did seemed to work last week that confused me

i will use the 5-axis template and go from ther e

thanks for your help
