Suggestions for Fusion 360 Tooling

Please, if there is a way to add a feature to Fusion so that when you are creating a "Custom" tool one may do so by applying dimensions within the add tool menu.  An example is a multi-step drill with 3-4 different diameters and at different depths.  It would be very helpful instead of having to back out of the current session and develop the tool in another session then try to find a way to import that tool into the original session library.  I am still new to the Fusion environment, but I have Mastercam and Siemens NX experience, both of those platforms allow you to create custom tooling within the session.  

With some help from the chat team at Autodesk I was able to use my modeled tool, but I wanted to see if we could do a more efficient method?  Maybe add a step drill option in the add tool menu, port tooling would be handy too, but one can model them all the same.

That is a good suggestion, i have created a ticket for the development teams to look into adding this tool type and used this forum thread URL as a reference for the development ticket.

@Anonymous @mathew.hutton So the suggestion reads we want to be able to create a custom tool from the add tool dialogue. The custom tool part can be handled through form tools right? We could add form tools to the tool list and have discussed this before but as it just takes you back to the design we thought the workflow was confusing.

I have interpreted the intention correctly?

You could follow the form tool workflow, although this would be a little time consuming for the user to sketch. My idea was that if you were to add another tool option similar to twist drill but where you can specify number of steps and for each step, you could specify a length and tip angle. Not sure if @Anonymous agrees with this?

Your solution is definitely ideal!  This would also be a great environment to create such tools like a port tool where there may be several depths and angles incorporated.  I am 100% behind this one plus it will be great to create on the fly tools instead of having to model them.
