in fusion 360 manufacturing, when trying to generate the tool path for a 2d image, it starts then stops and i get this message. I can not get it to generate my Gcode . i have made changes to the design numerous times. it just will not generate. all settings are what i always used for all my designs and i never had this issue before

Hi - That means that the toolpath kernel ran into a problem, and crashed. Did you submit any of the reports? If so, under what e-mail?

It would be helpful if you could share a model, so that we can take a closer look.

Thanks,

  Jeff

FWIW: I'm also having issues with turning profiles generating a toolpath. Same error message and I'm becoming frustrated. It's been happening for a few days now. It's not only that though, in general Fusion is just acting stupid right now. Measure function isn't working right now either. It comes and goes and is just very glitchy. Normally when it gets this stupid I will restart the app and it usually helps but that has no effect this time.

Thank you for the reply. What I am trying to do is cut my 2d metal art with out the lead in cut to every cut. I want the clean lines.
I made the lead in 0.0, lead out 0.0 and the pierce clearance 0.
This crashes every time. And I going about this wrong.

All my projects that I have done have the little lead in cut to every line. I read that making the pierce clearance 0 would Eli that. But all it does is crash when trying to generate.
How do I eliminate the lead in cut and get it to generate a tool path?
Thank you

Ok so I just made a test model with basic text for generating a cut path and set it up how you did with leads and pierce set to 0.0 and I got a toolpath. I never use the cutting part of Fusion because we use Torchmate so I'm sorry that I lack experience with that aspect of Fusion. However, anytime I struggle to get a milling toolpath I always start by removing leads. Have you tried changing the compensation type? I will say with the error message you're getting the problem may not be anything you're doing. There's something wrong with Fusion right now and it would be nice if an applications engineer would chime in before I end up using my computer for target practice. PULL!
