Smoothing perimeter of wooden signs

Hi guys! My wife and I own a small wood shop that makes kids toys and wooden sign. I’ve started to use our new cnc to cut out signs, and it works great, but when I’m cutting 1/2” mdf with a 1/8” flat bit (compression) I get lines at every depth pass on the edges of my pieces. So for example if it’s 1/2”, I get a “depth line” every 1/8” of an inch since that how deep my passes are. Is there a way to let the cnc clean this up with roughing passes and then a full depth finishing pass where I’m just taking off 1/32 or something? How do I do such a thing? My apologies in advance, I’m a newbie!

In your tab with the setting for that particular operation you can set [horizontal stock to leave] which would leave that amount from the selected contour which you can come back and finish at the full depth. You did not specify what type of operation you are using but you might have the option for something like "finish at final depth" so it only takes one operation.

Otherwise you can create a second full depth operation and not set any stock to leave.
