Setup Sheet no longer customizable in Machine Configurations (April Update)

I just did the update, but now I can no longer customize the setup sheet in the Machine configurations, or access the condensed version shown in the update news page.  I am stuck with the annoying full HTML version,

How do I get back to our pre configured setup sheets in this new update?  Our setup sheets provide a lot of information to the floor, not just tool info. We used modified excel templates that worked great.

Just noticed the same thing.
Started to use the custom settings for setupsheets in machine-config  2 weeks ago (hadn't even noticed that setting before) . That was up to now the easiest way to use a custom setupsheet along with a post for NC-code (without having to use post-command to a custom-post)

Please add settings so we can select our custom setup sheets AND please connect that to the menu -button (and right-click menu) så we dont have to create a NC-program (wich I never use because it feels reduntant at the moment)

To use the legacy style setup sheets (like the html and excel setup sheet), you will need to use the post dialog and select the setup sheet post that you would like to use. To use the new setup sheets that are viewable (and can be printed) through fusion team, right-click on a previously created NC program and select "setup sheet."

As I wrote, I'm aware of those options.
But, as the original post explains, There are a lot of information that you want or not want to see.
And keep switching betwin NC-post and setup-post is timeconsuming AND you will  do misstakes and post a setup instead of a NC-post and then have to scratch your head, change postconfig, post again...

I, for a example, only need half of the tooldata that gets printed. I dont need a image every time, since 90% of the tools are already rigged.
For a complex setup I get like 5 pages of tools where  majority of the space is occupied with stuff i dont need. AND its hard to read when everything, no matter grade of importance, is in the same fontsize.

In My custom tool-list template  I have added 3 "checkboxes" where I or someone else can mark that the tool is rigged, in the machine, and measured (if so needed)

Simple, readable for any other operator and more failssafe than random notes in the margin

I would like that the setup-sheet button produce a setupsheet based on MY settings/template without having to create a NC-program (that I never use because I do not see any use for it)

basicly as it was before, but more userfriendly way to set your templates for different types of setupsheets.

All that I have the option for when I right click on nc program, is a folder location, there is no option to select a condensed version.  Please bring this back as it worked very well previously.

Hello!!

Previously all you had to do, was

  1. Create your setup folder
  2. Select the machine configuration which would have the setup sheet pre-defined in it.
  3. Create your cutterpath,
  4. post cutterpath.
  5. Click on setupsheet icon, and voila!!!!  your done

Now if you wish to avoid the generic html that is the ONLY sheet that is available form the good ole single click option you must perform these steps

  1. Create your setup folder
  2. Select the machine configuration which would have the setup sheet pre-defined in it.
  3. Create your cutterpath,
  4. Post cutterpath
  5. When Completed  you create the NC program and select a pre-defined setup sheet as your post so ypu can avoid the UN-EDITABLE generic one
  6. Select the programs that will be applied to this post
  7. Post the setup sheet.

Suggestions :  Our shop has machines without tool changers, so we need to post out one program at a time
Is there a way that we can post out individual programs in from the NC Program  and have it name them as per the actual operation name? or at least have it increment the name ie  1001,1002,1003 etc..
Otherwise, we need to make an NC program for each cutterpath, thereby doubling
Could there be an option to select another setup sheet from the NC Program

Like I said, this is a workaround,  the original 5 step way worked great and allowed much easier and specific communication to  the machinist, thus avoiding vague information and mistakes.

Thanks

A bit Off-topic:
If I'm not misstaken there is a option (or post config) to post operations as subprograms
Then a setupsheet for all of them can be used as a list for tools/"operation-programs"

@rhdfmail  depending on the post yes, you can do folders as well.

Hmm.  ok

So, maybe I am chasing around my tail here.

I will look through the forums, but if anyone could help point me in the right direction, that would help.

Here is what I am looking for, and if someone has a modified post that does this or can tell me how to add it to an existing post , that would be great,.

Would like to have one post, that would

  • Generate individual files from an NC Program
  • Generate an excel setup sheet  based on those operations

    Basically a one click option.

Thank you

That is quite a lot to do, it is not a simple task what control is it for.
