saved tool presets

Hello,

It looks like fusion has updated and reset all my tooling presets to default values, meaning I have to change them all again when I go into program a part. This is quite frustrating and time wasting for me and I'm sure many others. I know this has been covered before. Is or when will this stop happening?

Thanks

Joshua

Are you referring to the Toolpath "defaults" where you change heights/stepover/comp etc. and save that as your new default? Or are you referring to tool cutting presets?

If it's the former, we obviously shouldn't be losing them at the rate we are. While this isn't a solution, I strongly encourage you to "back up" your defaults:

At least, once you've got everything set "just so", you have a solid starting point to work from should Fusion decide to send the defaults to the bin.

Hello Seth,

Thanks for the reply, I will have to backup in future.

I am referring to things like tool RPM, feedrate, stock to leave, checkboxes that were once previously checked etc.

Regards

Joshua

Items such as RPM and feedrate are functions of the Tool Library "cutting data presets" and are stored with your tool library.

Other items, such as Stock to Leave, Smoothing, Heights, checkboxes that are inside of the toolpaths themselves are stored in your "Defaults" settings.

Are you losing BOTH of them? If so, is your tool library also being lost?

Yes, both of these have changed recently from what I had them set at. I still have my tool library though.
