Haas pre ngc post

Flat surface to machine is 30 degrees from 0, I am using tool orientation and selecting that 30 degree face. When the program posts the rotary is turning 330 degrees. This actually puts that selected face -30 from where it should be. Any ideas?

Has it worked well for you in the past, and this time it's just being stupid?

If it's a new 4th axis to you, or you are using a new post processor, try toggling the "reverse" option in the User Property "Has A axis"

If it has worked for you in the past and you're not using a new post, is it possible that your X alignment has been flipped around?

Hi Seth, I do not have that option drop down in my post dialogue.

It sounds like you have an outdated post processor than, or you're using a post processor that does not have that option.

I suppose I should have started off with "What post processor are you using, and can you share it here?"

I believe on the older posts for pre-ngc there is an option for inverse timing. this might be helpful for you. also there is a pre-ngc post and a seperate post called pre-ngc with a axis.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. So, it appears that you need to use your post in conjunction with a Machine Configuration, rather than rely on built-in Post Properties. Not sure why they changed that....

At any rate, select the Haas A axis machine Config:

Click on Edit:

2022-04-02_05h27_04.png

And change the A axis to -1

2022-04-02_05h27_22.png

 Result:

N35 G54
N40 M11
N45 G0 A-90.
N50 M10

One last edit to the machine Config, so it pulls your post processor instead of the generic Haas Pre-NGC:
