Residual artifacts in model

Please take a look at attached part. Using 3d pocket and trying to select the entire part shows artifacts or lines  and boxes from previous modelling.

this is a big problem for me trying to select full contours around part so part can be machined. I would like to just select the closed contour and be done

Hi @conjured2018, You can just delete faces if you you don't need them. Fusion is good like that, somethings won't work but many times what you don't need can be removed with a simple delete, just hit ctrl z if you don't like the result.
