Question about radius cutting.

This is something I am not very familia with. Putting a small, say 2mm radius around the top edge of a part with a radius end mill. When I design the part, I can blend it in. But when I bring this part into fusion, then there are in effect two countour lines I can follow, I normally choose the most outter line.

Or is it better I just import a design into Fusion without the radius, and use that line to cut one into the part?

What is the correct way to do this? I am not sure, I guess both ways would work huh?

Hi @boyd.sofield,

The key here is making sure the line you choose is the same as the height the tool length is set at.

I normally I choose the bottom of the 2 lines, and then you need to offset the amount the top extends after the radi finishes. As you have most likely set the tool length at the base of the tool. (See the selection -5mm as the tip length is 5mm)
