program zero in a hole?

Hi!

I wonder if its possible to have the zero in the center of a hole instead of the other options, like top center and so on.

I want to choose a specific hola and have the datum in the center of that hole?

When you create a Setup under Origin select "Selected Point".

Then select the hole edge.

I could swear I've done this before but can someone look a the screencast and let me know what I am doing wrong? Hi Nick the option is used for setting the Setup WCS not the tool orentaion.

That's what I am trying to do. I want the center of the hole to be the zero for my WCS.

sorry the screencast looks like your in an operation. I just tested it on a PC and MAC and its working. can you send me the part please?

The problem is that the top of the part isn’t flat (Please see Zeb.png) so the edge isn’t a flat circle. I did a simple cut to flatten the face and it then works (After cut.png).

Sorry (hopefully last question).  I am new to Fusion, what is a "simple cut" ?

I just drew a rectangle and did an extrude cut to prove it out.

Sorry but I'm not sure how that is helpful for me in this situation... ?

What im saying is that this option is not available for this part becouse the top isent flat. the cut i did was for debugging use only. to get your part modled with a flat top i would recomend going to the Design and Docimentation area they would be much better helping you witht he CAD side.
