Problems with faceted circular parts

Good morning, i've been using fusion for about a year, previously used featurecam, nx etc. Ive got a problem when i try to do round profiles, it machines them in lots of facets rather than a smooth circle, why?? I'm drawing in solidedge and saving as a step file or iges, doesn't seem to make any difference, but this doesnt show up in fusion on the simulation. Ive messed about with the smoothing tolerance and it makes no difference, can anyone help? thanks.

Could you provide us a sample CAM file that produces this result?
What is your machine and controller?

Why do you design in SolidEdge instead of Fusion (not that that's the reason, just curious)

To share a sample file: File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

Oh, that's a simple and quick answer:
3D Adaptive is a roughing toolpath and will almost always leave facets. What you want to do is this:
1) 3D Adaptive for roughing, leaving a small amount of stock (.004" or .1mm) on axial and radial.

2) Come back in with appropriate toolpaths, such as 2D Contour, Pocket, Circular etc, with no stock to leave.

It's going to be that way for a loooooong time. I'm 7 years into the software and still discovering nuances I didn't know before 🙂
