Problem With CAM Threading Tool

Hi! I am new to Fusion 360 and I need to do a CAM for my project. I am trying to do my threading in CAM but I can't figure why the tool is going all over the place in simulation and the result is awful. My boss provided me with the cutting tool specs. I wonder if you can help me in the process. The lenght of the thread in design is 33mm, size 22mm, designaion M22x1.5, class 6g. I am waiting for suggestions! Thanks.

None of your images provide any insight into what you're actually running into, regarding the CAM. Please share your file here.

File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

@varban.edy

Please as @seth.madore has requested upload your Fusion f3d file for checking.

Meanwhile have a look at the attached rough example file, may help, either "fine tune" or discard as you see fit 🙂 🙂

Image one gets you image two.

@varban.edy I'm not seeing an issue with your single threading operation. Care to elaborate on what's going wrong?

I don't know if the positioning of the crest is correct. They seem to be a bit offset from how they looked in "Design". It's the first time doing a CAM so I don't know how the process should be exactly 🙂

oh, ignore the timing between the modeled thread and the simulated thread. In fact, I don't even bother with modeled threads, since it offers no benefit to the CAM environment

Oh, so if the tool settings are good I should be ok, correct?

That is correct. For this part, I'd likely turn "Fade Thread End" off, since you're threading into open space (the undercut)

 One other change that I'd suggest, is jacking up your Frontside Stock Offset. Depending on the accuracy of the machine, it may need a touch more clearance to track properly. I'd suggest 2x the pitch..
