Probing in fusion (Y Axis web)

I havent seen an option for probing a web in the y, or x axis.. or i guess they have option for a y axis web but in a pocket.. if i select the top face of my part it will do all 4 edges, can i edit it, to just probe the y axis?

Select the faces in the Y axis that you want to probe. If they are rectangular and of the same size, Fusion will automatically assign a Y axis probe to them

Thats what i thought. but for some reason that isnt working.

That's because your selected face is not a rectangle, and nothing but a rectangle. It's a flaw in the probing logic. For it to work on your part, you could use "Split Face" to create a rectangle surface, or just sketch a rectangle and turn it into a Patch.

thanks i just posted out what i could on fusion, and then i used a probe cycle from the haas control and copy and pasted it. will try what you recommended next time!
