probing geometry and subsequent result name

Hi - am i misisng something obvious here ?   When I setup geometric probing as an operation and I name the operation, that name is not carried to the result of the probe operastion when I import the results file... It just names it as feature n (n being just incremental)... Is there any way to preserve the names ? so if I am using a print bubble and the bore is feature 38 I can get that in my results ?

Hi @azjulian72,

Your not missing something. Currently when we import we read the results file. Unfortunately the names do not get passed through to the results file.

We do have a task currently to look back at the toolpath and link them together. This will allow things like the name to be passed over.

Unfortunately other than renaming the item in the results node there is not automatic way to pull the name over.
