Post Process - remove H0

Hi All

First posting and hopefully a nice easy one.

I'm new to Fusion and need to edit the post processor for my cnc machine. In line N60 the code H0 appears and I want to remove that in the post processor - how can that be done?

My machine will not start with that H0 but H1 is fine.

Thanks in advance!

Sample..

Likely that you haven`t set the Tool Length Offset to the same number as the tool, in your instance Tool#1 would usually have the same number and would be posted out as H1, if you don`t have a tool length offset number on the G43 line of your code the control doesn`t know the correct tool to select from your CNC Control Tool Library. See image below for where to set this, under the "Post Processor" tab you can see that Tool number #6 has a Tool Length Offset of #6 and a Tool Diameter Offset of #6, hope that helps 🙂

Any idea how I can add M99 to the end of the NC code?

Thanks in advance

That would usually be done by inserting a line into the "OnClose" section of your Post Processor, I don`t know what Post Processor you are using but here is an example of it inserted into the Mach3 Post Processor just as an example only 🙂

You can do this by opening your Post Processor in any Text Editor Notepad etc (I use Visual Studio as you can see in the images below), hope this helps, if you don`t feel comfortable doing it yourelf then attach a copy of your PP .cps file and someone will do the Edit for you, meantime here is the images below.

First image is a drilling cycle with no added M99 at the end

Second image is the added line in the Post Processor shown in the Red box.

The modification in the image above produces the code as shown in the image below, same drill cycle with the M99 at the end of the code, hope this helps 🙂
