Point builder for WCS

Support wizards, I have one for you that I'm sorely missing after making the switch to Fusion from NX.

In NX I am able to specify a virtual point in space by using a variety of model reference points. This is extremely useful when setting the model WCS.

Actually now that I'm typing it out, the whole WCS dialog is very simplistic compared to NX and some extra functionality would be nice.

I found myself missing the point builder yesterday when I was trying to specify an Origin that was at the intersection of two faces that have a chamfer on the corner. The current WCS dialog allows me to select the midpoint of either edge of the chamfer, but not the inferred intersection of the two faces (ignoring the chamfer)

I worked around it by making a blank body derived from the parent that had the chamfer removed, but I would really like to not have to do that, I haven't had to in any other CAM suite.

in summary: Improving the WCS builder to include a point builder that functions similarly to the utility in NX would be awesome.

I've got a few ideas I can share with you in a screencast. Could you share at least a screenshot of your desired WCS location?
I can speak generically on this, but it's always nice to work with something closely resembling real word examples

Seth, the screenshot shows the WCS in relation to the part to be cut. I set this WCS Origin by making a body with the chamfer removed to use as the blank for the CAM Setup.

Now, I'm not going to say that this method is any less clunky then duplicating a body and deleting a feature (for the sake of WCS establishment). However, leveraging the Sketch environment does allow for some rather powerful options.

The software I came from (Esprit) did not have a lot of options in regards to "built-in" WCS builders, but did have enough sketch tools to perform similar tasks such as this one. Although, it did have the nice feature of being able to move the XYZ values around (such as establishing Z zero 1" above the part)

This does work rather well. It is clunky but thinking about the other method of point building, they are equally painful.  

Your method at least creates a persistent WCS reference that can me easily used later.
