Hi all,

In the November release of Fusion 360, we released new functionality that allows you to use the Tool Orientation functionality in conjunction with the Accessibility Analysis tool, allowing you to always visualize what areas of your parts can be reached in the chosen 3+2 axis configuration. As this is currently a Public Preview feature, make sure to activate it first. To do so, go to your Preferences, click on Preview Features and turn on the “Accessibility Analysis for Tool Orientation” feature flag.

We are eager to hear your feedback on this new functionality, so please let us know your thoughts, comments or suggested improvements.

Thanks
Paolo

It's very useful but I don't think it should save each generation of it in the "Analysis" folder of the browser....

All this feature seems to do, is generate hundreds of accessibility analysis when creating any new tool path, and the result is a SIGNIFICANTLY slowed down system as more tool paths are generated. It's unclear to me if / when these are deleted but turning this feature off has turned models that slowly became unworkable as more toolpaths (and accessibility analysis with this preview feature on) were added into the model back to usable

Turning it off and deleted the hundreds of analysis instantly improved performance from 25 sec of software freeze whenever creating new or editing old tool paths, to instant ability to change parameters without nearly crashing the system

This feature is significantly bogging down my system and should be looked at more in depth, anyone having performance issues within the Manufacture workspace should immediately turn this feature off

Thanks both for the feedback. I have forwarded it to the development team that's in charge of the feature.

Thanks again!
Paolo

@mattdlr89
Thanks for the feedback. We are getting multiple reports of this problem and this is definitely not the way we intended it to work. The feature is till in preview and I encourage you to turn the preview off when you're not using it for now. We will fix this before it gets fully released.
