Newbie Slot Toolpath Pass Depth Problem

IMPORTANT
Please note that having written this request and just before posting it, i found the solution to the problem for which i was requesting help. I have decided to still make the post as i spent multiple hours trying to work out what i was doing wrong and i didn't find anything online that helped me. So hopefully this may help someone else who is starting out and has the same problem in future and is trying to find online help.
I am trying to learn Fusion 360 from scratch for my woodworking and have started with designing a relatively simple parametric storage box frame with mortise / tenon joints. My first attempted toolpath in the CAM workspace however, isn't working how i expected it to. I have attached a .pdf file with pictures of the assembly, part and toolpath and a copy of the GCode.txt file.
I am trying to cut two 20mm deep by 45mm length by 12.7mm wide slots using a 1/2" Amana compression endmill in one of the corner posts for mortises using the 2D Slot toolpath and was planning to specify 4 x 5mm pass depths. However, no matter what i try, the toolpath generated shows four series of four red movements followed by one blue movement for each 5mm pass depth - the attached GCode.txt file shows that the toolpath is ramping down 1mm at a time. It looks like some sort of built-in ramping method when i was planning just to plunge 5mm into the soft wood and cut laterally like i would if i was doing this in Vectric Aspire. This would reduce overall machining time on multiple posts in the multiple boxes to be machined.
I have also tried some of the other 2D and 3D toolpaths and smaller diameter bits but i get the same toolpath outcomes.
I have seen some forum comments about needing set Axial Offset and Axial Offset Passes values to specify pass depths however there are no such options under my Slot Toolpath / Passes tab as per the .pdf diagram.
I have spend quite a bit of time on the web trying to work out what i am doing wrong but have been unable to find a source that can help me so i am hoping that someone in the community might be able to help.
SOLUTION
As i had started to suspect the problem lay with the short length of the slot and the ramping settings which is found on the Slot toolpath / Linking tab. When i set the Ramp Type to Plunge, the resultant toolpath was four step downs of 5mm as i expected. Not sure why the Ramp type is not specified on the Passes tab as it affects the pass behaviour of the toolpath but that's what it is.
