Newbie Cam Question

Hi guys, I am looking for a bit of help regarding a problem I'm having. I am trying to cut out a small cavity on a curved surface, and find that I am always cutting it on the outside where I need to be on the inside. I have tried lots of tools and also used the tool containment set to inside boundary. To be fair I may not be using the correct tool (I have tried 2d contour and project both have the same issues) I have even tried to make a face to cut around and also tied to split this face and do 2x 2d contours (cant use a 2d contour as it will bottom out on the shank of the 2mm bit I'm using)

Thanks in advance

Hmmm. Could you share your file?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply.

If you can't share it publicly, you can email me the file: seth dot madore at autodesk dot com

Unfortunately I can not share the file as we are under a Non Disclosure agreement, I know it makes helping me a lot harder but I thank you for trying to help me.

Can you do a "Save As" of the file, and then "defeature" the part, leaving only the area in question? Or, as an alternative, replicate the issue in a sample file?
