NC Pattern - Remove Instances

I am trying to create an NC pattern (5x12) for stock with the four corners having holes for hold downs. Since the four corners will have hold down I'd like to eliminate those instances in each corner. Is there an easy way to do this?

Your answer is in post title itself, "Pattern" implies having group of parts or features arranged in equally spaced geometrical order, either linear or circular.

If something obstructs that order, like bolt on each of the stock corners, you will need to have two patterns, one that considers bolts and one that captures all other parts.

So if you have 10 parts along X axis and 5 parts along Y axis, make one pattern that machines two rows of 8 parts and one pattern that machines 3 rows of 10 parts.

I think he's envisioning something like the checkboxes available on patterns in the model space, which allow you to omit specific instances.

That is precisely what I am after.

If you are suggesting adding a feature to it, there is a link for ideas submission.

If you are using Component Pattern, you can easily turn off "Automatic Selection" and manually select the instances you want:

There are 2 parts I've not selected (sorry, can't display the items, customer requirement)

I don't see that check box on my dialog. Is there a reason why you would have it and not me?

Can you post up a photo of your dialog? Can you share your file?

Okay! You are using Linear Pattern. I was showing you Component Pattern. Component Pattern is patterns of one component, not Patterns of Bodies.
