Hi, What is the format that Fusion 360 outputs the NC in? I am trying to get an output in Sieb Meyers 3000 or 5000 format and was just wondering if this is possible, or if there are any suggestions for achiever this? Thanks for your help.

Hi @chris_ehlen

Fusion is not outputting in any NC Format.
It is generating an intermediate file, which is passed to the post processor engine. Then the engine, with the help of the post script, will generate code, that is specific to a controller.
That's why we have posts for Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, Mazak, as they use different commands, codes and options.

If we had a Sied Meyers post available, it would have been the solution.

But actually such a post does not exist.

So, you can either create one yourself, or ask one of our partners to create a post for you.

When you are looking for a post, or post modifications, you can contact one of our partners.
Given our partners can provide more localized support, we would encourage you to investigate the partners in your area, which can be done through our Services Marketplace.

If you need technical documentation for tuning your own post, please take a look at this faq, with links to several resources. From Post processor manual to specific explanations look at :

Hi Serge,

Yes I've gotten to grips more with my understanding of post processors in the past couple of weeks. I've got some quotes from your partners for creating the post processor, and I've had a look at editing a post processor myself to see if I can create one for the Sieb Meyers format.

Thanks for your help with this,

Chris
