My Z axis is posting to deep

I am new to Fusion 360 and using the manufacture workspace. I am writing tool paths to test on my CNC machine. Just starting with some simple line and splines. Using the trace cut in 2D, cutting on a plane. The cut is going 1 mm deeper into the material. I have looked into the tool setup and can not find what is causing this. In the post, in the tool description line; (T1 D=6.36 CR=0 – ZMIN=-1 flat end mill) and in the start of the code the line G1 Z-1 F500. If I manually edit these values to O the cutter is correct to where it was zeroed out to. But any time there is a z retract it need to be edited. What setting am I missing or change in the process need to be made? I have not tried on a 3D cut yet to see if the Z is off yet. Need some help to figure this out
PS the Post Processer is RichAuto if the helps

Go File>Export>*.f3D and attach your file in a reply. It will make it easier to diagnose what is going wrong.

Looking at your file, the posted code is correct. Your selected contour to trace is 1mm below your Co-ordinate Z0 which is set to a stock box point at the top of your defined stock.

EG : You zero your Z axis on the top of the stock material and you have selected a profile to trace 1mm below that zero.

What depth of cut were you trying to achieve ?

In setup, because you don't have a model, you select a sketch instead, that clears yellow flag.

In operation, tool follows selected sketch, if you want to raise the tool, use "Axial Offset".

I've also had problems figuring out the Z settings!

Personally I now find it easier to read Top Height and Bottom Height as top and bottom of cut.  I then reference Top Height (cut) to a selected face used to zero the tool Z. The Bottom Height is then referenced to the depth of cut below the Top Height.

Since I have a hobby mill I have to zero the Z axis after every tool change so this method is easier for me.
