Multi Fixtures on Tombstone - Setup for all Fixtures

Hello

Are there any considerations to offer a "Setup for all Fixtures" in order to have to define identical settings in the setups only once?

If I have 4 Setups like in this example, I have to define the same machine 4 times, the WCS 4 times the same Orientation, 4 times the same Fixture, 4 times the same Ppart Attach Point, 4 x the same Selected Point, 4 x the same Table Attach Point and 4 times the same Program Number.

With every change, e.g. when changing the Machine, I have to change the Machine 4 times.

It would also be very helpful if I could determine the Starting Stock of the Setups for a "Setup for all Fixtures" as a Stock.

Fusion offers powerful Simulation and Collision Control Tools.

It would be a shame not to use them completely, because at the moment a lot of manual work still has to be done to make full use of these tools.

It's good that you raise this!
There hasn't been a lot of traction on improving Fusion to service the needs of those in the "Production Manufacturing" space. A lot of our focus has been spent on getting core functionality built out along with expanding our toolpath offerings along with performance enhancements.

That tide is slowly turning and I, too, would love to see more focus on the workflows that matter to shops that run what would be considered "job shop work". Your issue is a valid one, and applies equally to horizontal mills as well.

I don't have anything other than sympathy to offer you at this point, but will take note of your request..

One parting thought; I'm almost 100% certain you could leverage the API to accomplish (most of) what you're looking for. Do you have any knowledge of Python?

An addin that could duplicate Setups, flip coordinate systems and reassign machines should be doable 🤔

But that's not a problem, I can already depict everything, if it gets easier in the future, then all the better.
