Moving Speed between 2 contour chains

Hi,

How do I speed up the moving speeds between work paths

I have first drill then 2d Contour with 2 chains. The movement from end position drill to begin position 2 contour is ok (could be faster).
But the movement from end position chain 1 to begin position chain 2 is really slow. Where do i set the speed?

Thanks all 😉

There is a Transition Feedrate that you can set:

A move between a drilling toolpath and a 2D Contour (or any other toolpath) should be done in rapid moves. If that's not happening, I'd like to see your file and post processor. Are you using a Personal Account? If so, rapid moves are not possible.

Yes i'm using a personal account.
My transition feedrate is set to 300mm/min an now i think about it that is indeed very slow. It's the same as my cutting feedrate.
So I could probably double that easely? I'm I right? roughly calculated your settings are like a 1000mm/min

Thanks for the answer, really appreciate it

your transition rate should basically be your rapid feed if the tool isnt in contact with any material.

A warning though; we don't run collision detection on transition moves, it's incumbent on the programmer/machinist to verify that transition moves don't link through stock/part.
