Milling chamfer around part - Mill/Turn Lather

Hello!

Currently I am struggling with a small part. I have to mill chamfer with my Haas St15y on surface which is not circular. I was trying to use "wrap" function but it says, that "Cannot unwrap cyclic geometry". I need to use radial tool holder as the chamfer is on front and the end of the part.

Does it possible to make a working toolpath like that on fusion 360 or I will need to split contour to a couple of single one to mill separatly flats and corners?

I attach a model for a better view.

Wrap only works on single selected cylinder with consistent diameter, no taper.

You must use tool orientation and ball end mill instead, using C axis to index each side, I split corners in half, overlapping tool path from each side but you could also do full radius from each side and only do strait chamfer on remaining two sides.

I set Z and X orientation in setup, setting only Z is OK when you only do turning,...... and also left .1 mm stock on face for finish tool.

Thank you for your answer.

This is what I was exactly worring. I hope that one day there will be an update which will allow us to use wrap around a shape more than just a cylinder.

Kind regards,

Michal
